Decoding a Tesla VIN on TSLAIQ VIN Reports is free, and it shows the as-built basics: year, model, trim, build date, and the factory option codes. That is the car as it left the factory. The full report is different. For $1.49 it pulls current data from Tesla for one specific VIN, including its supercharging status as reported today, its battery State of Health where Tesla exposes it, and every option code on the car. That is the read a buyer wants before paying for a used Tesla. Buy a single report, or a pack if you are shopping more than one car.

How credits work
- The VIN decode is always free and shows the as-built basics from the factory record. The paid report adds a live read from Tesla for that VIN: supercharging status as reported today, battery State of Health where available, and every option code on the car. Static factory data is free; the current data for a specific car is what a credit unlocks.
- Each credit unlocks the full paid report for one vehicle. Once a report is unlocked, you can reopen it for the lifetime of that report's access window.
- Credits are spent only when you choose to unlock a report, so a pack lets you research several cars at your own pace.
- Buying credits requires a signed-in account (a passwordless email code) so your balance and unlocked reports stay attached to you.
